1. You accept these terms
By downloading and using Sabri, you are deemed to have accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app; uninstalling it is enough.
These terms can be read inside the app, even without an internet connection.
2. What Sabri is
Sabri is a mobile app that accompanies a person who wants to quit smoking. What it does:
- Gives one prep task each day in the days before quit day
- Offers an SOS flow that opens when an urge to smoke comes: it measures the urge's intensity, suggests a few tools, then measures again
- Calculates your smoke-free days, the number of cigarettes not smoked and your savings
- Shows your triggers as a map drawn from your own logs
- Offers short chats with Sabri and reminder notifications
What Sabri does not do:
- It does not diagnose you or identify any health condition
- It does not recommend medication, supplements or nicotine products; it gives no brand names or doses
- It does not replace a doctor, a pharmacist or a smoking cessation clinic
- It does not track weight, calories or exercise
- It has no community, chat room, forum or leaderboard
- It does not guarantee any result
3. Account
To use Sabri, you sign in with your Apple or Google account. You do not create a separate password; no phone number is asked for. Which information is stored is written in the Privacy Policy.
Three things to know from the start:
- Your subscription is linked to your account. When you sign in with the same account on another device, your subscription is recognized.
- Your plan and logs are stored on our server, linked to your account. When you change phones or reinstall the app and sign in with the same account, they are waiting for you.
- You can delete your account at any time with Settings → Account → Delete account. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription; to stop being charged, cancel the subscription in the store (see 5.6).
The security of your account depends on the security of the Apple or Google account you sign in with. If you notice your account being used without permission, write to hello@selftech.co.
4. Age limit
Sabri is for people over 18 and is rated accordingly in the stores. By using the app, you declare that you are over 18. The app does not ask your age — we do this deliberately, because asking would mean collecting personal data we do not want to collect.
5. Subscription
5.1 Free tier and Sabri Pro
Part of the app can be used without a subscription: the day counter, estimated savings and two of the chats. A Sabri Pro subscription unlocks: the SOS flow, prep mode tasks, the My Map tab, the other chats and celebration content.
If your subscription ends or your payment doesn't go through, you drop to the free tier. The day counter and savings keep working. The SOS flow requires an active subscription.
5.2 Plans
Three plans are offered; all three are auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Weekly
- 1 week — renews every week
- 3-month
- 3 months — renews every 3 months
- Yearly
- 1 year — renews every year
5.3 Price
The exact amount you will pay is shown on the purchase screen and comes directly from the App Store or Google Play. We do not write figures in this document; prices vary by country, currency and the taxes applied by the store, and may change over time. The amount you see on screen before you buy is binding.
For the 3-month and yearly plans, information such as “works out to this much a week” may be shown; this is only a comparison — the amount charged is the plan's total for the period.
5.4 Intro week (paid introductory offer)
- The intro week lasts 7 days and is paid: a discounted amount is charged for the first 7 days. The amount is shown on the purchase screen.
- The offer is available only to new users who have not previously subscribed in this subscription group, and can be used once per person. The store decides eligibility; if you are not eligible, the offer is not shown and the subscription starts at the regular price.
- If you have not cancelled by the end of the intro week, the subscription continues automatically at the full price of the plan you chose and the store charges the fee.
- If you don't want to be charged, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. This is also Apple's own guidance.
- We send a reminder notification about 48 hours before the intro week ends. This is a convenience, not a guarantee: if notification permission is off or the device doesn't show the notification, the reminder may not reach you. Cancelling is your responsibility.
Time-limited offers: We may show some users, for example those who come back after a while, a discount offer valid for a limited time (e.g. a discounted first period of the 3-month plan). The offer's duration, the discounted amount and the regular price it will renew at afterwards are shown on the purchase screen. If you have not cancelled by the end of the discounted period, the subscription renews at the plan's regular price. If your notification permission is on, we send a reminder about 48 hours before it ends; this is a convenience, not a guarantee. These offers are personal and do not create any entitlement.
5.5 Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal fee is charged to your store account within the 24 hours before the end of the period. We do not make this charge; the App Store or Google Play does.
You cannot move a subscription from the store you bought it in to another store; a subscription bought on iOS is not valid on Android, and vice versa.
5.6 Cancellation
You can cancel the subscription at any time. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you paid for; you are not charged for the next period. Cancelling does not retroactively refund the paid period.
On iPhone / iPad:
- In the Settings app, tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. (You may need to scroll down to see this button.)
On Android:
- In the Google Play app, go to your subscriptions (profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the instructions.
Alternative path: Settings → Google → your name → Manage your Google Account → Payments & subscriptions → Manage subscriptions.
The app's Settings screen has a link that shows the way to cancel; we do not hide this link. When you cancel, we do not try to talk you out of it or offer a discount.
5.7 Restore purchases
When you sign in with the same account, your subscription is recognized automatically. If it doesn't appear, use the “Restore purchases” row on the purchase screen. Restoring works on a device signed in with the same store account you bought the subscription with.
Note: Restoring brings back only your subscription. Your plan and logs are linked to your account; for those, signing in with the same Apple or Google account is enough.
5.8 Refunds
Refunds are not in our hands. Apple or Google takes the payment and they decide on refunds.
- App Store: sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com and choose “I'd like to” → “Request a refund”. You may need to wait 24-48 hours for the outcome of the request.
- Google Play: use the refund request flow on the Google Play help pages.
You cannot request a refund from us outside these channels; we hold no payment collected on your behalf.
5.9 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. If the renewal price of an existing subscription changes, the store informs you under its own rules and asks for your consent where required. If you don't accept the new price, you can cancel the subscription.
6. Acceptable use
While using the app, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app's code (except where applicable law expressly permits it)
- Circumvent subscription checks, make fake purchases or manipulate payment verification
- Copy, distribute, sell or use in your own product the app, its content or any part of it without permission
- Use the app for an unlawful purpose
- Run the app in bulk with automated tools or load it in a way that harms the service
The app has no content area visible to other users; only you see what you write.
7. Intellectual property
The app's code, design, the “Sabri” character, text content (chats, task texts, notification texts), and audio and visual assets belong to SelfTech or are licensed. These terms give you a non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. They do not transfer ownership.
What you write is yours. We claim no rights over your reason, your promise, your notes or your cards — they don't reach us anyway.
8. Health notice — don't skip this
Sabri is not a medical device; it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.
- The app does not give medical advice. The information in it is for general information purposes.
- The app does not recommend medication, give medication names or doses, or tell you to start or stop any treatment.
- The app does not replace a doctor, a pharmacist or a smoking cessation clinic.
- Consult a health professional before and during quitting. If you take any medication, ask your doctor whether quitting smoking may affect your dose.
- Do not change or stop a treatment you are on based on any content in this app.
- If you have a medical emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department. The app is not an emergency tool.
In Turkey, smoking cessation clinics and the ALO 171 helpline are free. The app points you to these resources.
9. We are not affiliated with institutions
Sabri is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by any public institution or non-governmental organization.
This applies to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, the ALO 171 Quit Smoking Helpline, the Turkish Green Crescent Society and all other institutions. The names of these institutions appear in the app only for information, to direct users to free and official sources of support. Institution logos, emblems or visual identities are not used; institution websites open in the system browser, not in an in-app browser.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or accuracy of the services these institutions provide.
10. Continuity of the service
- We provide the app as is and as available. We do not undertake that it will work without interruption or error.
- The app is designed to work offline. Sign-in, account operations and subscription verification need internet; after you sign in, a cache is used when there is no connection and your access is not cut off.
- We may change, add or remove features. If we take the app down entirely, ending active subscriptions and any refunds are handled under the stores' rules.
- We cannot guarantee that notifications will arrive on time; their delivery depends on the device's operating system and notification services.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect damages (loss of profit, loss of data, loss of business) arising from the use of or inability to use the app.
- We are not liable for the loss of data on your device. That the app offers no backup, and that data is gone if deleted, is clearly stated in this document and inside the app.
- We are not liable for the outcome of your quitting process, changes in your health or decisions you make based on information in the app.
- If any liability of ours arises, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for this app in the 12 months before the event.
Exceptions: Damages arising from our intent or gross negligence, death and bodily injury, and consumer rights under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection that cannot be limited by contract are outside this limitation. The statutory rights you have as a consumer cannot be narrowed by this text.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal data and the KVKK privacy notice are in a separate document: the Privacy Policy (in the app: Sabri tab → Privacy Policy). In short: for your account, we store your email address and the name your provider shares; your plan and logs are stored on our own server, linked to your account, and can be read only with your account; there are no ads and no third-party analytics.
13. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms. When we do:
- We update the effective date at the top of the document.
- If the change is material (subscription terms, liability, governing law), we inform you inside the app.
- Continuing to use the app after the change means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, you can cancel your subscription and uninstall the app.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
For disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Turkey have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer rights below.
If you are a consumer: you can apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees for disputes within the monetary limits, and to Consumer Courts for disputes above the limit. Your right to apply to the committee or court in your own place of residence is reserved.
If you reside outside Turkey, the mandatory rights granted to you by the consumer laws of the country you are in are reserved.
15. Other provisions
- Entire agreement: These terms and the privacy policy form the entire agreement between us regarding the use of the app.
- Severability: If a provision is held invalid, the other provisions are not affected.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights and obligations to anyone else. We may assign this agreement in the event of a company merger or transfer.
- Apple and Google: The App Store and Google Play are not parties to these terms. Your claims about the app are directed to us; the stores' own terms of use also apply.
